this is adorable, dude
I really like what you did with the shading too! I gotta say, using fire definitely feels like a good way to practice possible lighting skills!
poor Scoot tho, homie can't outrun fire-

why the hell doesn't this have more views!? the textures are incredible!

dude I just got jumpscared by a still image
and in my mind that last bit of dialogue just came through in an absolute BLAST of ear-shattering static, I really admire the ability you have to prompt that in my brain through imagery alone!
you have such a cool grimy aesthetic that is perfect for horror scenes like these :D

man this game was such a damn trip to play through, I didn't play anything past the demo but even in just that small bit of time the game had so much to it! you captured the eerie dark feel really well!

EG!!
you did this with cheap alcohol markers as well?? that's so damn cool, I nearly thought this was digital at first because of how clean it looked!
I shouldn't be surprised though, I've seen some incredible things done with them markers man
it also seems you're pretty new here as well?? :0 welcome to Newgrounds!! I hope your work gets recognized!
you're making an awesome first impression methinks

BUDDY SIMULATOR OH MY GOD YES!!
that game deserves more art, it had me so invested and nearly made me goddamn cry with how bittersweet one of the endings are
I'm glad people know about it :'>
you did a great job with these!

aw well even if you weren't able to find a DS cartridge template (though I'm sure that'd look fuckin' awesome) I still think this came out awesome!
you did what you could with what you have and I think you got the overall energy of The Amazing Digital Circus down no problem!
would totally play like one of those old-school mindfucky games like Roly Poly no Nanakorobi Yaoki methinks

does Mr. Eggplant come with the tub?

it's ok to have screwed up a few times, I honestly think that can make pieces like this even more authentic! overall though the quality's incredible!!
if I may ask, what kinda things did you use to make this? markers, pencil leads?
I use leads myself but if you happen to use them too I'd die for tips on how to blend them this well :'>

I used a normal pen for lining and I used these for coloring:

As for tips on how to blend, I first just color as lightly as possible and then increase the pressure as i near places without too much light. Then when I can't make it any darker I choose a color closest to the one I'm using to shade it more (same process so it blends nicely)

Idk if that made any sense but that's pretty much how I did it 😭

oh I am in love with this
that is such an unsettling image and I didn't even see the teeth as as a part of the project at first! but god after I realized they're not only there but ACTUAL teeth posed as a part of the scene holy shit I LOVE IT!!
it's little accents like this that make a piece into something really special, adding a kinda extra texture y'know??
like you'll get something outta just looking at it, but if you see it in real life you could possibly experience it in a tactile sense as well!
