he is round <3
built like a friend <3 <3

she is a homicidal maniac and you may not date her
and yet this will stop no one from trying

I would take his hand without a second thought

this reminds me that I still have to watch The Shining as well dear god I'm missing out on so many movies
I understand why Stephen kind was unhappy with this adaptation, but this movie is an honest masterpiece from what I've heard and seen!! and while Wendy's face is looking a little sideways here, I can overlook that by the pure fear I can see in her expression and the love you seem to have for this movie's dynamics!
I would absolutely love to see more horror from you, my friend, you seem to have a really refreshing view on it!!

Thank you! I think the biggest benefit of sketching a scene from a movie is that you learn the fundamentals such as lighting and actors' performances, which are especially important for storytelling illustrations, but you also get a chance to think, "If I were the director of this movie, what would I have them act like?" In this scene, I portrayed her like this, but this expression is not in the original film, but is a recent expression used in Japanese anime.

wow, everytime I see one of your American movie redraws I just can't take my eyes off them!!
when I looked up the scene that this came from I was kinda shocked at how well you portrayed her hair and posture! not to mention how well you replicated the scene itself with the props and furniture and such
even the fact we can see every curve of the man's face shape here in the front kinda amazes me because that's a detail I don't think many consider in angled shots like this!
I must admit I haven't seen Pulp Fiction yet, but knowing how much of a passion you have for American-made movies as well warms my western heart ❤️

Precipitation24 responds:

Thank you! Pulp Fiction is a really great movie and I recommend it. Her performance is portrayed as a casual gesture in the film, but it was very attractive to me in scenes where you can read that she trusts and loves her partner on screen.

the way she almost looks like she's sunken into the floor looks awesome, and the way you do lighting is honestly what I aspire to do because it looks AMAZINGLY natural
the messier-looking lineart also accentuates the unnerving situation this would be
wonderful work (even though I'm not surprised, you're so talented!)

Thank you! Riding elevators at night is really scary, isn't it? The apartment where I live is not a place with a past, but at night the atmosphere is exactly like this.

on god they elongated The Lamb
he be lookin' positively d u b i o u s

these are the cutest renditions of the little Lamb that I've ever seen in my goddamn life
look at this cutie, he only wants to do the best for his... "family" :>
all these expressions look so well-made and I'm crying, these are my goals ;;

ok so I love the different versions with different colours, I think they all give off a different kinda feel!
and while I haven't watched The Boondocks I am familiar with the characters and I think you conveyed their personalities pretty well! at the very least you did well at portraying their overall *vibe*
another job well done Zalay!!

[whatever one calls this artstyle] my beloved
those eyes, that perspective, the whole vibe is just 🤌 MWAH!
